19th Century Stony Creek
A view, taken south along Thimble Island Road, then Main Street, probably from the front of the Russell Homestead by Kathrine Russell. Frink’s dock lies in the distance, with granite-carrying schooners being loaded for voyages unknown. An oyster house resided on what is now Madeira Park. In the foreground, lies the area which is now the Stony Creek Beach, and the house of the owner of the sailboat resides on a concrete foundation where now the beach gazebo rests.
